RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DECREASING AIR EMISSIONS IN PORTS 

Case Port of HaminaKotka

This report is made as part of the Ecologically Friendly (EFP) project. The study addresses in port related emissions, focusing on emissions from land sources, such as vehicles and cargo handling machines. The purpose of this study was to find practical ways to reduce air emissions of vehicles and cargo handling machines in Mussalo harbor, and to form recommendations related to the subject. The first part of this report presents a study of reducing air emissions of vehicles in Mussalo harbor. The second part considers reduction of cargo handling machinery air emissions by practical solutions.
